Care & Storage

Build a clean, dry routine around your tea storage. Actual product instructions and the tea producer’s guidance take precedence over this general guide.

Before first use

Check the item for damage. Confirm its suitability for food contact and your intended use. Read the actual cleaning instructions before washing; appearance alone does not establish dishwasher, microwave, oven or boiling-water suitability.

Keep dry tea dry

After permitted cleaning, allow the container and lid to dry completely. Use a clean, dry utensil for leaves. Avoid putting a wet spoon, damp tea or a prepared drink into dry-tea storage.

Choose the storage setting

Use a stable shelf or tea station away from steam, cooking heat, direct sun and strong smells. Keep original tea packaging information so the tea, batch details and best-before guidance can be identified.

Handle the lid separately

Lift and replace the lid carefully. Place it on a stable clean surface while reaching for tea. Do not carry a jar by its lid or knob, and do not assume a visible fitted lid locks in place.

When to stop using an item

Stop using a jar if it becomes cracked, chipped or otherwise damaged. Keep broken pieces away from children and pets. Contact support about an item that arrives damaged before sending it back.

Changing the tea

Follow the actual cleaning guidance before switching contents, dry fully and update identification. Do not mix unidentified old and new tea or use visual appearance as proof of freshness.
